Happy Mother’s Day to all of the women in our lives!
A mother’s hands wipe noses, wash countless tee-shirts, chop vegetables, pick weeds in the garden, make last-minute school projects, sign report cards… They also hold each other, comfort, hug, and love.
Mom’s hands are important ones! Treat them to some healthy, relaxation of a manicure. We offer manicures in acrylics, gel, shellac, and Solar Nails.
Come in for a last minute Mother’s Day gift! We are open until 8 p.m. today.
Spinach, kale and dark leafy greens are great sources of vitamins A and C, and iron and calcium.
Your nails need special care during the colder months. A nutritious diet and hydration can help keep your nails from being brittle and dry.
- Eat foods rich in calcium and vitamin A for strong nails.
- Getting enough protein, folic acid and vitamin C help to prevent hangnails and white bands across your nails.
- Take multivitamins that include B12 and zinc to prevent white spots and darkened nails.
- Stop smoking. Your nails (along with the rest of your body) suffer for the habit.
- Drink water! Experts suggest 8 ounces a day, but other opinions vary (plus or minus). This is a neat tool to figure out how much water you should be drinking today.
